Welcome to the Wembley Medical Centre.

The centre is run by Dr Trish Moores, a family practitioner, with a special interest in Women’s Health.

Family practice is our main focus at Wembley Medical Centre, from children right through to the elderly. We are able to offer all aspects of general practice in a private, caring environment.

Dr Trish Moores

I studied medicine at UCT and thereafter returned home to Zimbabwe to do my Internship. Having  always had a keen interest in womens’ health, I returned to UCT  to do some postgraduate work in obstetrics and gynaecology, and thereafter gained valuable work experience at a district hospital in Zimbabwe.

This solid platform has been invaluable in my family practice in Pietermaritzburg.  I have continued developing my knowledge  and skills in well-woman medicine over a 30 year period, and believe I need to share this knowledge with all women, many of whom struggle from  significant misconceptions and misunderstandings. I also strongly believe woman need to make their own decisions about their bodies, but that these need to be informed decisions.

I sincerely hope my Well Woman Clinic will help facilitate this.
